Wet meadows, brooks, small waterfalls, and ponds adorn the landscape in Frankveld Park. This is not just any neighborhood park. For the visitor, it is an ideal green oasis of just over 10 hectares to escape the hustle and bustle for a while.
Park Frankveld is situated in a large spring area. These springs feed a brook that flows to the ponds and wet meadows. In some places, small dams hold back the water. It is an interplay of tranquil pools and cascading waterfalls. Large populations of frogs, toads, salamanders, and waterfowl live in and around the ponds and the marsh.
Come walk along the winding paths or play with the children on the vast lawns. Your faithful four-legged friend can let off steam in the dog zone. There is plenty to experience at Frankveld.
Tip:
The walking paths in the park are paved so that they are also accessible to wheelchair users.
There is an enclosed off-leash dog area of nearly 2 hectares, including part of the swimming pond.
